Expressions of Interest are sought from the general public for persons interested in being appointed to carry out the responsibilities of an Acquisition Officer appointed by the Commissioner of Lands as set out in Part V Division 1 of the Land and Titles Act as amended. The intention of this call is to create a pool of professional people from throughout the country who can be called upon to facilitate land acquisitions on behalf of the National Government as and when necessary.

Expression of Interest should include:

  • Capability Statement / CV including qualifications and work experience and details of any acquisitions previously completed.
  • Availability to undertake acquistions, including any preferences for different parts of Solomon Islands.
  • Indicative costs of engagement, including consideration of transport, accommodation, venue hire and other logistics and contractor's fee for a single acquisition process (not as a daily rate). Indicative costs can however provide a range based on location in Solomon Islands and land area to be acquired.
  • Names and current phone number of at least three referees.

Please submit EOIs by hand-delivery to the MLHS Executive Personal Secretary by 4:00pm Friday 15 March latest. EOIs will be assessed by the Ministry and successful applicants will be informed accordingly. Future acquisitions for the National Government will be carried out only by those people who have applied through this process and have been selected.
