The Government Housing Division is headed by Director of Government Housing and its core mandate is to ensure that the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Survey and other relevant agencies’ capacity is strengthened to manage government’s housing assets.  In pursuing this mandate, one of the key roles of the division is to identify strategies to effectively manage and monitor Tenancy Agreements under Public Service Rental Scheme.

Furthermore, two important projects, namely the Lands Provincial and Urban Staff Housing Project and the Public Service Housing site Project directly come under the Housing Division.  The coordination and implementation of the project and the need to ensure that the project meets its overall objective is the responsibility of the Housing Division.
