Solomon Islands will celebrate its 44th Anniversary of Independence on 7 July 2022. The last 43 years undoubtedly has not been easy for us as a nation. We have gone through many challenges. Many of the challenges are of our own makings. However, we truly believe that our nation, Solomon Islands is blessed and protected by God. Despite such challenges, together, as a nation, we will continue to move forward to build a brighter future for our future generation. As we celebrate, let us also acknowledge the previous government contributions in the development of our nation, and those who have gone before us, for it was through them that our foundation was established.

On that note, the Ministry of Lands, Housing & Survey, as a supporting Ministry, is truly committed towards achieving the Government redirection policy statement on land matters, especially customary land recording and National urban planning. The Ministry in collaboration with its Partners will continue to support current and future governments in their aspirations towards developing the country.

May the love, peace and joy of our Lord fill our hearts as we celebrate 44 years of nationhood with our families and friends of the happy isles of Solomon Islands
